My Computers
M2 Macbook Air |

This Macbook was bought from Apple as refurbished and replaced the 2019 Intel Macbook Pro that used to be
my primary computer. My experience with it has been excellent so far and the performance increase from my previous Macbook
has been dramatic.

Gaming PC |
I built this computer in 2020 due to extreme boredom during Nova Scotia's extremely strict lock downs as a result of
COVID-19.
When I built this computer the GPU market was extremely bad and all I could manage to buy was a 1650. In spring of 2024 I
upgraded the GPU to a 4070, increased my memory from 16GB to 64GB, and replaced my main drive with a 1TB SSD.

Macintosh Classic II |
|
I fully restored this Classic II after buying it in 2022. It needed a replacement motherboard due to battery
failure ruining the existing one, as well as a full analog board recap/repair. I replaced the hard drive with a ZuluSCSI
drive emulator, replaced the internal fan with a modern fan by Noctua which provides better airflow with less noise,
and replaced the stock 4MB of RAM with the maximum 10MB of RAM.
This Mac is running OS 7.0.1 and is connected to the internet via a SLIP connection provided by an ESP8266.
In my opinion it cost too much to restore this Mac, but I was bored at the time and it has turned out to be one
of my favourite computers.

Powerbook G4 |
I don't know why I own this as I never use it, but it's a very late model Powerbook G4 (the last Apple laptop with a PPC CPU) running Mac OS X 10.5.
I upgraded the spinning hard disc to an m2 driving using an m2 to IDE adapter when I originally got it.
Thanks to MacPorts some useful software can be installed, but really this laptop would be far more useful if OpenBSD were
installed on it.
